So I am at work and bored so I am gonna put everything I have traded for in the last year.
started out with
1985 MR2-$500.00
traded for
1987 MR2 w/20V motor
traded for
1966 VW bug
traded for
1995 VW Jetta GLS Modded 2.0
traded for
1995 VW Jetta VR6
This all started with the dream of owning and always wanting a white Jetta VR6 and now i have it. I have also traded little things for parts or cash. Also have purchased other things to make money like the wrecked SuperCharged car. I really dont know what I want next or even what to do to the Jetta cause everything is working out good. Just thought i would share this.....
Traded my 85 20v AW11(the infamous car) for a clean 71 Datsun 240z Even swap.
Sold 240z on eBay to a surgeon in Houston 3600$ yay!
Used money from the Datsun to buy an 89 S13(then bought a load of parts, CA18DET, suspension goodies, lots of stuff) 600$(car), plus about 800 in goodies
Sold the S13 because I hated it. 1200$
Sold the parts because they had no use. 1000$
Bought a cherry 89 MR2(still wish i kept it, yeah i'm stupid) 2000$ worth every ****ing penny.
Traded up to a 87 AE86 with a 20v silvertop on MSnS Trade
Sold the AE86 on eBay to someone in NC, because i made money on it, and it was hot as balls inside. 3500$
Bought a 92 Sentra SE-R because they are baller. 1500$ Sold the SE-R to Ian because I'm silly. 1500$
Bought a 92 GTI because hey why not. 1200$
Sold the GTI because it was glued together, and had motor issues. 1000$
And now i rock the 2 wheeled world.
Note: This does not include the 8 months before this started, which included such cars as: 99 Miata, 72 Datsun 510, and the 98 Q45.
So, count: 10 since March of last year. What do i win?
Money made: 11,800$ on the cars above. Money spent: 6100$ not including the few cars listed at the bottom.
Not bad really.....There are definately a few cars i wish i had kept. I absolutely love the 240/260 line of the datsuns and will own another one someday. I of course miss my old deuce, probably should have kept that one. And i was stupid for trading the 89, ridiculously clean and i'll never find another one of that caliber. But you know what they say. You live and learn.
Tito, hey you never know... ive heard stories of people rebuying their old cars later on down the road. although it might not be in the exact condition as you sold it, it could be a good feeling to have a car that you used to own and cherish.
