Yep both in Tampa. The bike is looking good. How come you went to that exhaust? I kinda liked the first one better.
I may be interested in the yamaha tank. You got any pictures of it? My tank isnt in the best shape.
Few reasons honestly man. First, the old side pipes would COOK my legs, no matter what I was doing. Even with my Joe Rocket boots on, there was just no helping it. I'm not sure how people did it without the heat wrap. And I don't really care for the way a 2-2 sounds when it's open. This is a 2-1(obviously), and sounds really...really good. The old pipes also blocked access to the left side carb, with these, there is nothing in the way of anything. Really nice. There is a host of other reasons too, but I dig this set-up, I still have the other too, just in case I'm feeling frisky.
But as far as the tank, I doubt it will fit that RD. By the way, sick bike man! Didn't expect a two smoker. I recently rode a Honda NSR250:
V-twin 250cc two stroke. Fastest thing I have ever been on, or in. Flat out, will pick it up in first gear if you are not careful. Dry clutch, turns faster than you can think, yet is still very calm if you aren't riding like a mad man. Odds are, you probably won't ever see one, let alone ride one. I about shat my pants when I was buying parts from this guy in Tampa and he had one, and then I got a bit of a chubby when he asked if I wanted to ride the thing. It's smaller than my CB cafe, feels almost like a toy...a really fast...evil sounding toy.
How do your two guy's scoots run? There a bunch of fun roads out west of Orlando...meet up? I'm always down for a ride...
that nsr looks crazy, awesome you got to take it for a ride.
We are waiting to get our endorsements for any serious riding. We will be in orlando monday, thursday, and friday at Harley doing the class.
After that we are planning to head up to the carolinas/tenn to tour around a bit.
I'll let jon chime in abt his bike, but mine is doing really good so far. I haven't touched it since i got it and i've been riding it everyday close to home.
defects: the exhaust has some holes right near the tips, the horn doesnt work, and it needs new fork seals. Other than that its good, and the guy before me even cleaned the carbs and took really good care of it. it's not my dream bike, but its a lot of fun to ride
We just headed out on the road in search of good roads. We found alot of awesome roads. Basically what we did is take back roads all the way up to Tennesee, did the dragon, cherohaloloaa skyway, and all the fun roads around there. And some other stuff too
Oh yea thats me in the bmw, jamin on the nighthawk and tom riding the duck in the picture
getting my license on the 21st, gonna work on getting some gear before then. i've also found some pretty cool mods for it which works out cuz i have a birthday comin up fairly soon
