So I was hanging out w/Josh while he replaced his S4 battery and when all was said and done, he jumped into the car to start it up. He immediately jumps back out of the car (yelping like a bitch) and screaming "WTF is that???" Taken aback, I looked closer and saw this:









These pics don't really do it justice, but this thing was soooo big. Probably a little smaller than the palm of my hand (I have big hands).

The wierd thing was, this BEAST did not make insect sounds. It was more like angry bird chatter or Upset squirrel sound. W/e it was, it totally freaked us out and I really just think it was an alien.

dumb ****, it's a Cicada! member of the tibicen family. scientific name is Tibicen canicularis. here is a video of one. and

Yea, those cicadas are noisey as hell! I used to deal with them up in NJ and PA.
