Well, Per might be buying my car if he can meet the price and i can find a car to get into. i'm looking to get a better track car, with better handling and much lighter. i've been looking at a few miata's including Jeremy's, and with the money left over from the purchase i could do alot to turn his miata around. i've also looked into a Locost, or a clone. http://nasaforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=10514 i've found this one, with a CBR1000 bike engine in it, and the bike's sequn. trany. (watch both video's!). but he lives in Ky, and may have sold it already. but either way, i'd like to get into something cheaper to race.

Are you sure you really want a locost though? Its a sick car but would it do everything you want? like make a trip to the dragon or do a track day?

well so far, he gave me a call tuesday morning, and we talked about the situation. it's bad editorial to start with a car that has been modded already, and i told him my asking price, and he understood. i'll need a stock seat, ECU and my old nozzles to give back to him, oh and my stock steering wheel. but he didn't sound like it wasn't going to happen. me and him have talked before about this, and how hard it is to find a diesel bug for a decent price. he hasn't found any, nothing nada. so i'm pretty much his only choice. which puts me in a good position. but we need to talk more. i'm pretty happy with either car, i love my car so there is more attachment there than anything, i'd much rather have the miata for easy wrenching (it takes like 3 hours to put a clutch in it, rather than the day it took me to put one my bug.) more engine bay room. every part i'll need i can find on the enter net. AND! i get tons of 15inch wheels at my work, which allows me to have free daily wheels and free daily tires!! oh and did i mention it's very light weight?
