Fueling

Fueling is pretty much the last thing we need to get the car running so we need to plan it out.

Stuff we need

fuel cell:   buy one, use a stock tank, build one or find a junkyard tank that would work good as a fuel cell in the frunk

fuel pump:  again buy one or get a junkyard pump. I think if we could find a pump from a CIS system it would work perfect since they're inline(the audi was anyways) and from what I hear they flow alot

fuel lines:  rubber fuel hose or spring for some nice braided metal lines

What do you guys think?

for the fuel pump i vote junkyard.

the fuel cell i say viet finds one on ebay for us. we have abt 75 bucks.

the lines we can get from home depot for cheap, so i saw we do that

I'll start the hunt, but how many gallons do you think we should get? 5 gallons? i think its harder to find the smaller volume tanks cuz i know i've seen a bunch of 10 gallons and larger ones. Well i'll look around and i'll post up my find in here. If not i'll send one of you guys a IM about it.

i think 5 gallons sounds good. we can always top it off between runs if we really need to

Fuel Cell 1
Fuel Cell 2
Fuel Cell 3
Fuel Cell 4
Fuel Cell 5
Fuel Cell 6
Fuel Cell 7

those are my find on ebay. when i say them most of these were under $60+shipping. the first 2 look the best too me since they are near brand new and were the price of the used ones.

first one went over budget.  I'm watching the second one in 'my ebay' so i dont forget abt it.  ebay is really hit or miss....

If we dont come across any good deals we can always get the wesco 5 gallon for $67 plus shipping.

I still think we should get a CIS pump from the junk yard. We need some money though

we could just pay a dollar to send joel in there.  then he could just take it for us.  or maybe he has one in his mk2 junk yard at his house.

also, once we have the tank, the cheapo fuel pump and lines from home depot could easily be covered by doing an odd job or two.  Lou already called me about a roof basket too.

OK, the fuel cell is ordered.

We got the 5 gallon (drag) cell from Wesco.

ended up being 73 bucks plus 20 to ship it.  we had 73 in the mr2 fund, so as long as shawn gives us 20 for the basket, we're set.  so check fuel cell off the list....
