Doing an short block swap

I'm doing a short block swap on a 3G Eclipse and thought I would share pics with you guys.

F*d up from boosting on stock cast pistons.

The stock 6G72 engine in the 3rd Generation Eclipse have cast pistons that come apart after about 300whp. You can see where the ring lands came apart in the picture of the old block above. But we actually built this block with the best of everything you can buy to fortify the block for more power. This pretty much completes the full conversion from a N/A 3rd Gen Eclipse to a properly turbocharged V6 Eclipse. Keep in mind that the 3rd Generation Eclipse does not come turbo from the factory.

This is the third one I have done. I have big plans for my car after all of this experience. Also, I'm eager to drop the MR-2 motor to get it prepped for some serious horsepower as well :)

Awesome!  I've never heard anything about your setup. What kind of turbo stuff you running?
