ok, i was researching weights of random crap on the mr2 wondering what we need to focus on to get the weight down there....

also some of the stuff we did and how much that saved


rear spoiler - 10lb

floor and firewall sound deadening - 25lb

complete A/C system - 42lb

sideskirts - 10lb

rear glass changed to lexan - 5lb

trunk supports - 4.5lb

switch to 14lb odyssee battery - 20lb



ideas of total car weight

1-- "Before the 6 point bar my car was 2545lb the roll bar is 60lb and I pulled 20lb of tar out of the inside."

2-- "mine is 2579 with me + gear

empty w/ 3 autox runs worth of fuel: ~2300 lbs (min weight for the car in SM2)"
