cool, i started a thread announcing saturday as a work day. Hopefully we can get a lot done. We have access to the SAE shop to get the bushings out/in.

here's the pics from this weekend

-the car is rolling...the suspension went back on with the new bushings.
-we dropped the old gas tank out.
-jon fixed the left rear fender
-viet finished scraping off the sound deadening (it was really heavy too, surprizing)
-i installed the pedals and master cylenders.

Hey any body know what front bumper that is on that red white and blue car?  I hope I can help out soon.  Let me know if you want anything made out of FiberGlass.  looks like it's really coming along.

^ I think the NA AW11 axels will work because it’s a C-Series tranny on th 5S. It’s amazing to think that that casting (or variant of the original) is still being used today in the Corolla, Matrix, MR2 and Celica.

Ok, maybe it isnt that AMAZING but I still love Toyota for it.

We can really come get that any time, we've got the money. Maybe when Kyle gets that block and head out of my garage we can run over and get it with his 4-runner. that tar crap that is on the chassis that you guys scraped off. me and lou forgot to tell you that there is a way easier route to take. get dry ice(publix) and cover the piece with the ice. wait a little and hit it with a hammer and the whole piece comes off at once!! a trick we learned from a ITA integra driver!

we started off using a heat gun and a screwdriver....worked ok

then saturday viet used my new air hammer and knocked the rest off. that worked pretty well. loud though


lots still needs to be done......there's still no engine.....

update 3/22/06

-mounted the headlight brackets and body panels
-mounted the Drivers side mirror
-put the fuel door on
-mounted the shifter

Logged another 2 hours in the garage today....

-removed hearter core plumbing
-installed prothane steering rack bushings
-secured rear brake line and throttle cable under car
-bolted up firewall bracket for throttle cable

I had pictures but somehow picasa lost them......ghey
