i think instead of using claps use the threading deal on both pipes then use bolts to hold them together. Its kind of hard for me to explain it but i think u or jon posted a picture of it. I think it would be way better then clamps because it isn't going to crush the piping.
or you could just get some sheet metal and make your own clamps.
cut it long so it overlaps and roll it up and then weld on spots to put a bolt through. That probably doesnt make sense but I could draw it out for you.
fedex sent me a check for 50 bucks! haha! i wrote this leter explaining all the crap i went through and sent it to all the fedex email addresses i could find online. first, the lady calls me and helps me a ton getting things straightened out. then i get a check for 50 bucks!!! shipping was like 15! hahahahaha
eh, i still will ship ups from now on. but its sweet i got 50 bones from them.
turboback update:
its pretty much done. i've got everything from the dp flange to the muffler, only thing left is the tip. im going to do that tomorrow after class though.
review.... still feels pretty much the same as the open dp but much less noise. I'm really happy w/ the sound so far, and it should only get better with the tips on. Im back to spiking 12psi like stock so either the 15psi was a open DP thing or the ecu adjusted.
Im getting some pretty bad surging which was kinda to be expected....i will be ording a MBC pretty soon i think. oh and i still have to pull it all back off again to paint it.....
overall, i love it....and i would probably do it again.
