I want a Limited Slip, but its REALLY expensive. I'm still considering it as a next, or soon(er) LARGE mod, because even without big power, it would be an awesome upgrade. For parts alone i'm looking at like $700-$900. People quoted $500-$900 just for labor!!! that brings the total to from $1200-$1800

I'm pretty sure we could get the trans out no prob. and bringing it to the shop seperate would avoid the transmission pulling charges, but its still expensive. i dont think we could do the diff because there's all kinds of shimming that needs to be done. also the stock diff is riveted to the ring gear which needs to be drilled and pressed out which seems a little above our tools, people were talking about a lot of air tools in this process. i guess it's also really easy to wreck 5th gear when your pulling out the diff.

People also reccomend doing the clutch at this time since the tranny is already out....but i dont even want to think abt adding that much more money.

i say go for it. Derek has an lsd in his car and its really nice. It accelerates around turns as fast as my car does. It would definatley be a fun mod even with the power you have now.


I'm sure we could do it. We can handle shims, we've got measuring tools. Just would have to be careful and think about what we're doing but I dont think its worth paying a shop to do it.


and where are you going to get that much money from? you havent even made your donations to the cftc project fund

i made like 3500 bucks over the summer last year. so i could have the money over the summer and it could be my big summer mod.

thats alot of money! i'd be cool to have, but is it really worth that much to you? what kind of LSD you getting? how does LSD really work anyways?
