I can definitely smell it. But it wont be for a while. This car is gonna take on more of a daily driver role. I want to just have one car project. That would be the mr2. I actually sold the Audi yesterday. I had it up for sale for about a month and then some kid randomly calls and bought it same day. That was almost sad. I really wanted to make that happen. Oh well I guess bklasfhh bajklflahhh school and a career are more important.
Impressions on the 318 after owning it for a few days: It is surprisingly fun to drive. I am really amazed at how well it handles completely stock. The feel and responsiveness is basically incredible. I cant wait to get it out to an auto-x. Its also really comfortable and has A/C. The ac part is weird. I havent had that for a long time. The interior is a little dirty on it but I dont mind it that much.
The compact chassis I think, if I remember correctly, is very similar, if not the same as the Z3 chassis, or shares similar suspension components. While the E36 coupe(mine) is a fair bit different in the rear set-up. But yes, it is one of the most fun machines I've driven stock. And there is nothing....not a god dam thing like the sound of the M50, it is amazing, just awesome. But I hear ya on the daily driver role, they reall are incredible machines, comfortable to drive, capable, it's like driving a turbine car down the highway(smooth) and I almost forget the car is on at stoplights, the engine is that smooth.
