I did like steve said and cleaned the injectors. It turned out that 3 of them were stuck. Me and Viet started putting them back in. They're a little tough to get in cause of the 5s manifold but we eventually got them in. Then I turned on the fuel pump to check for leaks. There was a big leak. Tried fixing it but it still leaked. So I was feeling a little over zealous at the time and figured I'd go against every rational thought that says dont start an engine that is spewing fuel everywhere and I cranked it up. It fired up, on more than one cylinder this time. However, it soon shot a flame out the exhaust and ignited the puddle of fuel on the ground and the whole thing went up in flames. I shut it down and ran out. Luckily there was a fire extinguisher right next to the car. I got to break the glass on pull the pin on the extinguisher. That was pretty exciting, I've always wanted to do that. The only bad part is 3 wires got a little toasty; a little tape fixed that and now there is powder all over the engine bay. Lol good times
i have to admit, i was a little worried there for a second. a little sence of urgency i think was missing from the extinguishing part. but needless to say jon got the fire put out before the car exploded, like jon said, good times lol
