Why do I always look for guidance when making a decision?

/rant

Here is today's dilema. First off, first post from the G4 iBook, gangsta.  Second,  as I think all of you know, my plans are to get rid of the death rocket, the FZR, and get something else, and finish the CB350, which is very close mind you, I'm pretty excited.

So this comes up today, guy has a 98 Proege ES, don't laugh, automatic, p/w, p/l, icy lovely a/c, all the crap. Car books for like 3500$. He wants to trade me for the FZR, normally, I would say hell no. But it's 94 degrees out today, and yesterday, I did body work on my tank all day, and it would be sure nice to have a car with some a/c action to go to the store with at the end of the day. I know I have said before that a/c really isn't necessary, and it's true, to an extent. I'm really, really close to moving out of this state, two reasons.

The heat, this is just stupid. No shirt, sandals, and like 6 bottled waters later, one side of my tank is done.

The drivers. This pisses me off the most. Basically, long story short, the drivers in Orlando are making me sell/get rid of the thing I like the most(the bike). I don't want to be a statistic, not here, and not being hit by some bitch on her cell phone. I've made the decision now that I'm not riding in Orlando anymore, save for weekends, and to test ride the CB around the neighborhood.

The people(I lied, there are three reasons). I went to Autozone today, to buy paint stripper, and I go to the counter to pay. Meanwhile, the cashier and another employee were having a conversation, in Spanish(who knew?). And I assumed, I would walk over and she would wait on me, and it would stop. But what...the...fack. Do they think I cannot here them yammering away in their foreign language? Is there any respect, anywhere, in this town? It's not that I hate or despise people of Spanish, or Puerto Rican decent, not at all, but I mean come on, if I went down to Ace Hardware down the street, this would not happen, so what gives?

So that turned into a bit more of a rant than I expecting, but here is the gist. Guy wants to trade me a car worth 2x more than the bike, with all the amenities, but it's maroon in color with a very bland tan interior. It is auto, which sucks, but uses the same motor thats in the Miata, that's not sucky. So timeline would go like this:

Trade the FZR
Sell the Spectrum
Finish the neverending project(CB350)
Keep CB and the Protege for a bit, working on the Honda's kinks
Either sell the Protege, or trade in to dealer for down payment on newer used car. Something that is what I call "factory fast", with a warranty, but not boring.

And maybe somewhere in there move. Honestly, I've just about had it. I can't even see myself driving any sort of 'performance' car in this town, not only because of the a/c thing, but for the same reason I don't want to ride. Dump a bunch of money into a car, and then Barbie in her X5 decides she doesn't like her current hood ornament, and that an MK1 GTi would look that much better.

p.s. Anybody want to move to eastern Tennessee? Maybe rent a house? And I'm serious.

If you move to tennessee then we'll have a place near the dragon to stay.biggrin If you do do the trade then you better hurry and finish the CB350 cause you need something to have fun on.

Yeah I'm honestly considering it. If I could find a job up there, I'd do it in a flash. But it doesn't seem like there are many gigs. But I'm still looking. But I sealed the deal on the Protege today, she will need a nickname, so get to thinking. And after riding home after the meet up in the freezing ass rain, I don't regret getting rid of the FZR at all. We meet up Monday to swap them.

And yes, the CB is really...really close to being done. I'm overly exciting, I just got a bunch of stuff today for it, bars, controls, I can't wait.
