Ok so check some stuff last night with jon and viet and we found out that the car is getting low oil pressure at high rpm.......I am gonna try to change the oil tonight and get a oem filter, if that doesnt work then next would be a oil pump.

If the oil does not work then I also think I am gonna be backing out of sebring, i dont want to be broke fixing this car making a deadline. Unless we can try the oil pump and see what that does but at the same time i am really broke.

Also viet were can i get that oil pump from? what is the name of that web site?

Thats what I was telling you its hard to be sure of anything. We decided that the oil pressure was dropping because we put a multimeter on the vtec pressure switch. The pressure switch is just a switch, its not a sensor. When the pressure is below a certain point (not in vtec) the switch is closed. When the pressure is over that point (once vtec hits) the switch is open. When we looked at it in second gear the switch went open right when vtec hit but at around 7k the switch went closed and vtec turned off right after it went closed.
So we decided that your oil pressure was dropping and causing the ecu to think it was not in vtec. Theres a lower limit to the maps when its not in vtec causing it to redline early. Theres alot of things that could cause the oil pressure to drop, pump, bearings with too much clearance, leak, clog in the oil galleys to the pressure switch. So try the oil before you buy anything and see what happens. If it doesnt change maybe its not oil pressure.

I agree with Jon's notion. If you want to be absolutely sure, grab an oil pressure gauge.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA WE FIED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! After 6 days straight of working on the car, we fixed. I say we cause Danny, Viet, Jon and I all worked on it. Now it is done. The problem was the Vtec switch plug the wires going to it were all F'd up. I have MAD VTEC hitting HARD AS HELL all the way to 8200RPM.

Thanks everybody for you help and Jon get ready for sebring and send that guy and email asap and see if you can pay that 90 bucks.
