still good here, might be bringing 2 of my roommates and maybe even another car. depends. We'll be taking a detour to my roommates hometown raleigh though, it'll be for a couple hours.

Thought I would spark this again, make sure everyone is still cool with going. But wanted to get some definate times and such. What time do we all want to leave on Friday? And the corresponding trip home, what time are we trying to get home? I want to get this all planned out, sweems to go smoother. I'm thinking if we have people from Tampa/Orlando, we could meet at the intersection of the Turnpike and 75. And then head out from there. I'd like an early start, so we can get there at a reasonable time, and get a normal nights sleep for the next day.

And what is the proposed route? I go 75 all the way to 129, and then just snake that up through till Robbinsville. I find that even there may be faster ways to go, it's a nice ride after the boringness of 75.

And are we all staying at the Microtel? If so, I think we should book rooms in advance, like soon, it being a weekend and all.

I can leave whenever on Friday but I know some people have to work. Theres a truck stop at the exit right after the turnpike on 75. We could meet there.
I'm pretty sure I'll have to be back Sunday night not too late but I dont really care that much when we leave.

As far as the route, I think the way me and Lou took up there is a really good way. Its a 4 lane road with alot of good turns and banking, very fun. And for the way back we found another fun road the is similiar to the dragon but longer. Its more of a residential road and thats probably why you dont hear about it. I'll look at a map and post that way and you guys can see how you like it.

Microtel sounds good to me.

Whats the roll call here? Apparently Lou/lucas are not going. And Ian has pretentions of not making it, I want to figure out who is up for it. Me and Lucas were talking about taking a whole week early next year and staying up there....thoughts?

i've got 7th, 8th, & 9th off of work and it's ok by andrea as long as i find somethin for her to do that weekend (so she's not alone). so you can move me from "maybe" to "most-likely" lol.

i like the microtel the best out of those three that viet found, has the best price and continental breakfast! that last one is really expensive. so if we stay like 2 or three to a room we could split it like $20 or $30 a person which isnt bad.

i was thinkin about bring my skateboard, would anybody else skate if we found some spots up there?

p.s. - i really need to get those springs on so i can get my $50 back from autozone for the compressors, lol, viet, jon, someone wanna help me with that this week sometime?

I'll have my board as well. Maybe we can even find a sick skatepark up there. I say we go for the Tapoco Lodge. Its 65 a night for the economy room which looks about the same as the microtel BUT they have shuffleboard there!!!!!!

ps. Mike, I'm in cocoa beach but I have some spring compressors at home you could use if you want to get your 50 back. I think after a long time they refuse to give you your money back.
