So in my enduring quest to mod my car without money I found a way to get some really cheap 15x10" wheels. It might take a while to get these all done but here's my plans.
I found a company that builds alot of racecar wheels such as Nascar and dirt track cars (I actually like some dirt track racing). They're about the same as diamonds but they're having an overstock sale for $30 a wheel. They have 2 of the wheels I want in the sale so I'd have to pay full price for the other 2 but it will still be about $200.
You probably noticed the goofy looking bolt pattern. Its a wide-5 bolt pattern. I dont have a wide-5 bolt pattern. But the huge circle makes it really easy to make adapters. And.......the best part is that Josh (who is the awesomest guy ever cause he has access to a cnc laser cutter) can laser cut me some adapters. I can give him a dimensioned drawing and he'll return 4 adapters. I'd either paint or get Josh to powdercoat them red so I'd have red centers and black barrels.
Now for the design challenge part. Since they'll be custom centers I can make them look however. So help me pick a design for a sick looking center. Winner gets to sign their name on my car and an orange slurpee.
Here's the 2 obvious ones I did
What do you guys think? Should I go this route or no?
Well Josh started cutting the centers last night but the machine ran out of oxygen so he didnt finish them. Nam also pointed out the my brakes will be in the way of a flat piece so I may have to have josh make some spacers to clear the brakes. I have enough to get the 2 wheels that are on sale but Im gonna wait until Josh gives me the centers so I can measure the backspace off those.

hmmm wheels..... well they cost money and even though its not much money as far as wheels go I dont have enough especially with a vacation coming up. Hopefully I can make some money somehow. And I'm looking more into 16's now since theres more tire sizes available.
