they have to involve driving since its a touring club and that touring is referring to cars so how can we drive cars as a club?
my ideas: go for a drive drive somewhere pretty far and eat some good fried gator tail go to racing events like autocross and such meet up at the awesome go-kart track in st pete and race drive around town as a pack umm go to a drive in movie with alot of cars look for fun or scenic drives and then go drive them cruise down some main street or cruise to other meets or the beach go to races like HSR or rolex setup a cannonball run across florida do a poker run. ex: you get a card when you stop at a checkpoint do a giant scavenger hunt or whatever those are called test drive cars
thats about all i got. Im sure theres way more stuff. Anyone else got any ideas?
I agree with everything above, but we should also do some fun road trip idea.
There is a website that Steve got me hooked on called Pashnit and people do some really crazy road trips on two wheel.
Now there is some guy on there that went from Key West, Florida to the most northern town in Alaska on a bike and back. He is making a video for it right now. He has some really cool camera mount, call the Magic Broom Stick. But him and his brother did this thing in Kentucky where they rode to 5 famous BBQ stops in the state in one day. The video is really funny, but it does something that most videos don't do, it so shows why you do the road trips.
Then, the preview for his Key West to Alaska video. Right click-> save as
Now some short about his camera mount. Right click-> save as
So I post that BBQ video because it goes with what Jon was saying but I also proves that driving is not just about the driving, it is more about what you do in between. The other videos are worth watching.
ALSO, Dragon trip. Go up, rent one of the 3 bedroom cabins at the Fontana Village for $199 a night in the off season or $239 during the peak season and I think we would have a blast.

Yes I second the dragon trip............I say we plan a cruise to GA to that race track that is no longer. James Crawford told me about and i showed a few people on google earth. But it is a race track(road course) that is just there. People go on it all the time. It is a a really good day trip so i say we plan that.
I'm fully in for a dragon trip. I drove it once in a camry and am dying to go back. Im thinking one weekend in spring when theres some awesome weather up there. You guys?
That BBQ video is awesome. This could be another thing we can do. Theres alot of area north of orlando and around there that have good drives and really good food. We could do a full day trip and hit like 3 restraunts (i dont think any of us are as big as those brothers in the video). And I know of a very fun place to drive up near ocala. No guaruntees that its still there but it'd be worth looking for.
Also Viet had a really good idea. Build a grill, strap it to someones rood rack and take it all around grilling in all kinds of places.
You guys in for a drive on the 20th? Thats the day of that lakeland meet. We can meet up before around noon and then head out to mount verde or ocala for a good group drive. Maybe get some lunch up there at some country place. They usually have some pretty good food. Then cruise to lakeland for the meet that night.

Yes, I think this would be awesome and I am in. We will have to find a fun/good place to eat in the area that we are heading, I will do some research (ask people) now. Maybe a little BBQ?

Thanks Jon, I had to add your car in there for the CFTC revival effort. I have a few in reserve from the last track day also, so I will be switching it up, but this was my favorite.
