I learned the hard way that my 1976 road bike sucks at being a road bike. So i converted it into a commuter bike. Its now a bike that can cruise good but its got a steel frame so it can take some abuse riding around town. What do you guys think?
i really reeeaaallly want to build a fixie..my bike would be a perfect canidate, but it works to well as a road bike right now. they are just so clean, no cables, levers, etc. so sick
a fixie would be sweet. I'd like to try riding one. its gotta be wierd not being able to coast. oh and have you guys ever seen track racing with the fixies? Its crazy. they pace each other and play around positions until the final lap cause the person in back can slingshot around at the end.
i should have my old road bike fix geared by christmas (depending on my lazyness). And if you want the bull horn bars, just flip your curved road bars, and cut off the top of the curve.
