I got a spinny muffler

I ordered a turbo chra about a month ago and then had all kinds of trouble with the guy cause he sent me the wrong one. So I sent the wrong one back and included a letter clearly stating that I wanted a T3 super 60 chra but in return I got this thing.

Its a t3/t4 57 trim. Nowhere near a t3 super 60 but I've got the housings for it so I'm just going to use it and have huge lag and huge power

Here's an assembled shot

or my other option: sell it and make some money and get a t3 super 60

awesome! so can I have my housing back?
I'd try it out firsy before you go selling it off. I think its better to go big then scale down. If you dont like just sell and get something smaller and get a little money back.

Don't you guys have AIM?

Dude, F that, get on the phone, rip that guy a new one and get the right turbo. Think track time.

So I think Friday I am going to try making a ghetto adapter plate and see how this turbo works. We'll see though, it might not be so easy to make an adapter plate

what about your oil and coolant lines? they probably wont work stock. and your exhaust wont fit.

his stock manifold uses a flange for a ****ty K03, and he porbably doesnt have money to buy/make a new manifold.

Well I dont think the turbing outlet is going to bolt up anyways, so it is all going to need to be adressed. I would think adding a flex pipe right under the firewall will help mate it up to the rest of the exhaust.

Freaking cars, the problems are always in the little details.

Also, I think I am going to be at the saturday work day, so I can run Jon to Amazon hose for the oil and water lines. Also, I think I have some T3 water and coolant lines from a FC3S and some Volvo sitting in my closet, so I will bring them for mock-up/use.

Edit: My friend with a DSM put a massive turbo on his car (some crazy Mitsubishi housings with Garrett wheels and center section. Frankenstien sh!t I tell you.), and they didn't supply the oil and coolant lines, and he went to some shop and they had everything he needed to get it in the car. I tried calling him but no dice as of right now.

Update:   The turbo is on the car but theres still a few little problems. The drilling and tapping the adapter plate flange didnt work so well, so I ended up just welding bolts in for studs. That kinda worked but it left a gap between the flange and stock manifold which leaked and made spool reaallly slow. The nuts also all came loose on the drive home (luckily there was a road ranger at the usual truck stop). But by the time I got home all the leaking melted the oil return hose and wastegate line and a stud sheared out. I fixed all of that last night and did some runs across gandy. It was really fun at first hitting 15psi by about 4500. It still had some leaks and after a few more tuning runs the nuts were loose again. SO I'm gonna get Josh to make me a new flange to bolt to the stock manifold and tap that. And hopefully he can make a head flange too and then I can just build a whole new manifold soon. So yea the t3/t4 is really fun when it spools but I think I might still sell it for a super 60.

i would seriously address the leak and not drive on it that gas is like a gazzillion degrees and will dirty up and melt ur car quicker than anything

I got a new flange today from Josh. Its so awesome to have that ability. I just gave him a drawing with all the measurements and I got this flange back. He even welded it up while I was there.

He also cut this out for a future project. Its domex steel. Im not exactly sure what domex's heat crap is like but it sure looks sweet.

After I got the adapter thing back I tapped it and threw it on, although I ended up a few bolts short of a fiesta. So there was only 2 bolts in the manifold and 2 in the turbo.

Went for test drive. Spooled way better with less leaks. My first impression though was kinda weak cause I didnt think it was pulling that hard but then I realized I was in 4th gear and looked down at the speedo to see it fly by 100. I did a few more runs and it was feeling good at 15psi. But then the manifold bolts started to loosen up again but thats probably just cause I only had 2 bolts in. I'll get more. So i'm liking the power but still not sure about the spool.

nah thats lame

it spools at like 4500. we definatley need to switch wastegates though cause when it hits full boost I guess the flapper gets stuck open and it drops like 5psi

It cracked in half. The pipe that I used was just too thin and cracked with all the vibration. So I'm going to go N/A for awhile untill I can make a real manifold.
