ok so after however many weeks i get my ecu back. so today i i go to put it back in and the car starts fine. idles i lil high but w/e its basmapped not tune. i back out in to the street and while in neutral it starts booging like running on 2 cylinders. one of my plug wires was looses so i made sure it was on ther good. the car started andi began to drive down the street, i tried to creep up on boost (1 psi maybee) and it bogged and then went to how it was b4. pulled the plugsone was misgapped for some reaon so i regapped them at .44 mm. same problem. wtf is going on the car will not even start now.
msd igniton stuff all around with in 6 months
sorry for the paragraph. but i need help i my car is at home and i am at school so when i go back i neeed to be prepared.
list of things in order that i think could be the cause
sparkplugs, (i dunno a gut feeling) rotor condensation in the gas tank which means i have watered down gas in the injectors rights now. ecu ignition wires coil
Well if everythinng was working fine till you replaced the ECU, I am going to say 'ECU.'
But it is always very hard to diagnose a car with standing over it.
So, being a former technician, we will do it the way I was tought. (I did nothing but driveability and electrical nightmares)
Step one. Do a full visiual inspection. Is everything plugged in, including all your grounds. Any chafted wires. Fluid leaks (might be getting into your wiring). Check fuses, Ect
Step two. Pull any codes. Follow proper diagnostic procedures for all codes pulled.
Step three. Follow proper troubleshoting procedures if no codes are found. So, you think its not running on all cylinders, but what ones are your porblem. Start there, at the cylinder. If you are getting spark, check your injectors (which is what I thinking it might be, ECU replacement and all). Then trace the problem, for all this you are going to need the factory service manual. Haynes and Chiltons suck and don't give you flow-chart diagnostics. That makes it hella easy and allow you to check all the sensors, wiring, ECU in the proper order to diag it. But they do have decent wiring diagrams.
Step four, crack open a beer, order parts and watch TV.

Listen to Ian, he's got some good points. Just make sure you're getting everthing you need for an engine to run: air, fuel, spark, compression, blah blah blah
thanks a lot guys. thie first thing i am going to do is new sparkplugs, regapped.that is my gut feeling.
i dont think it is a fuel problem b/c i can smell gas
the way it was running is how would run if i were ler the rpms drop blow like 1000 when trying to move. it would behave like this and then come back up to normal idle.
so i am also gonnn recheck my vac lines, although i dont think that could be the whole problem, just possibly a piece
It also sounds like you might be super rich when the problem ocurs. Running really rich can cause it to act like its on 2 cylinders. If you can smell gas then your probably too rich. What gauges do you have?
And .44 spark plug gap seems kinda big for a boosted motor although the bigger gap wouldnt effect the idle, you'd just lose some hp in boost and possibly get some misfires.
But like Ian said see if you can track it down to spark or fuel and find out which cylinders are causing the problems.
