Yea I got tagged at the euro meets because they didnt like the fact that I'm going JDM. Its getting rediculous these days. I cant even show up at the meets with a different style with out getting vandalized. They didnt seem to have a problem with the civic rocking the euro style though. Now I'm gonna have to get my hood repainted. What do you guys think about a carbon fiber?
goof off for the win dude...seriously we had one of our work trucks tagged, we found it tagged today, and we used the goof off on it and the paint was gone in minutes...try that before you go to drastic measures

^^^ as a last resort at the least. clear coat does not = wax. there is not the same protection, shine or duribility. dont give advice like that without knowing the effects
if you use any thing of that sort it will probably change the tint of the paint or take all the gloss off. making it all blury
if u use paint thinner/ goofoff say good by to your clear coat.to get it to look almost the same you will need some polishing compound and an orbital or a lot of time

he did go to school for paint/bodywork so he just might know what he's talking about. just a hunch...
my neighbor was a professional automotive painter for around 20 years, i have learned a whole lot of this stuff from by watching him paint side jobs and what not as well as my own car.
try to wax paint with no clearcoat and tell me it will protect the same, i had a car with the cleacoat worn off, water spots every time it rains that have to be waxed or buffed out
