we here is the deal my friend came up here from west palm fine with no probs. Then yesterday, sunday, he had issues with his clutch pedal sticking to the floor. So we though maybe he has ait in his lines. Bled the system, but it still isn't coming back up. We checked around the master cylinder everything was all dry and no signs of leaks. So we thought it was the slave cylinder and changed that out and bled the system again. Still wasn't fixed but what happens is that we press the pedal down, but it only goes back up about halfway. My friend says thats about where the clutch engament is. So we don't know what the problem is. We are thinking its the pressure plate, but we aren't too sure.
I know this **** is really long, but we are stumped.
also how long did you bleed the system. w/o special dealer tools your looking at a good 15 to 20min bleed ritual. remove the slave from the car, DONT remove the hydraulic line, and check movement. see if you compress the slave (do it nicely) if it pushes the pedal back up. if it does than either what jon said or the fingers on the pressure plate are braking off, or something else is happening inside the bell housing.

oh bled the line for a long time like 45mins to an hour the first time with just pumping the clutch pedal. 2nd we did it was for a 30mins or maybe longer i dunno with this hand pump which was alot faster then the pedal pumping. Let me put it this way the fluid was pitch black before and now its 100% clean lol.
I'm thinking its the pressure plate, but I guess we aren't going to know until we open that up or he takes it some where to get it looked at.
Bleeding a clutch system take about 5 minutes max, it's just like a brake caliper, keep bleeding it until there are no air bubbles. (At least that's the way it is on Mitsu cars, dunno bout other cars).
It sounds like the clutch pedal needs to be adjusted, stick your head under the dash and find out where the clutch pushes the switch that goes into the firewall. That can be adjusted for a different point of adjustment, you'll know what I mean when you see it.
What does it look like when you let off the clutch pedal, does the slave cylinder and the fork return back to it's original position, if so then I would not be inclinded to think that it is the pressure plate on that one.

I thought the thing under the pedal only changed the pedal engament point at least thats what i read online. I haven't really messed with it yet. I'll have to drive it myself and double check, but my friend said it didn't fully disengage when he pulled the pedal up. I'll try to check it out later today.
