well i was driving home from school last night and was getting on 275. Its a pretty fun turn and onramp so i dropped the hammer coming out of the turn and it was pulling pretty good but just after full boost i heard doink and something bounce under the car and the car shut down. i was like this has gotta be bad, stuff's not supposed to fall off my car. popped the hood and found out that the welds holding the edis trigger wheel on finally broke. i really didnt want to get it towed and the battery died on my phone which hardly ever happens so i skated down to a gas station and called my mom to bring some tools and my stock ignition. so i hung out at the gas station which is in a pretty ghetto area for about half an hour. there was also a bum chillen there (probably made 5 or 10 dollars while i was there) and a taxi driver. i offered the bum some peanuts but he said he was straight. then some dudes in a truck pull up and call the taxi driver over, pull out some road maps and are like " i got the good ones right here, the 06 editions, not that fake crap". im thinkin yea a taxi driver always needs a good street map. then they do the deal and the bum pulls this little knife out and the dude in the truck is like "you cant do any damage with that" then pulls his knife out "thats what you want". dang this is getting long but anyways my mom shows up and takes me back to my car. I threw all my stock stuff back in and hooked up a new rpm wire to the megasquirt. it started but the rpms were off in megasquirt so it didnt really drive. so i just unhooked megasquirt and went back to the stock ecu. and i guess cause the tps wasnt hooked up it wouldnt let me go over 1400 rpm. it was pretty tough driving home not going over 1400 which gave me a top speed of 31mph before i hit fuel cut. and everytime it cut the fuel it wouldnt turn back on till the revs dropped under 1000 so i kept having to push the clutch let the revs fall and rev it back up. but yea finally made it home at like 2:30
