i think my turbo went out again..... i have the worst luck ever. A ****load of smoke is coming out of my downpipe and i get absolutely no boost. I'm also in a ****ty situation with no job and not going to school. I dunno what to do. I might have to throw in the towel like bryan and joe. I really don't want to, but it is just inevitable at the moment. I feel like total sh!t right now.
wow there's no reason your turbo should go bad. you've got good oil going to it and you always let it cool down and you never boost anything crazy. that just really sucks. did it come with a warranty or anything?
i think if the company wont replace it then you should give josh a twelve pack of mountain dew and use one of his turbos. or you can always go the other route and sell the car, drive the audi and go to school. but no towel throwing around here.
i think there was a warrenty on it, but it was 30 days. I dunno man if I had a job i pretty much wouldn't care cuz i could just buy a new one. I think I know what might have happened. It was the lack of oil getting to the turbo because of the oil my motor was eatting up due to bad rings i think. So if i were to get another turbo it'll probably end up the same. What i need to do is put in my pistons and rods, but i need a few more things for that.
damn dude, that sucks. thats wierd that your getting no boost, usually they become fog machines way before they stop boosting. unless there is actually like physical damage to the comp wheel or something. you check the charge piping? you guys just had that off........no boost and you'd have crazy rich smoke
well i finally took the turbo off and it is definately messed up. theres a whole bunch of shaft play. I still need to take off the housings and check out the seals and stuff. I'm pretty sure they are all blow. So i think my problem could have been to much oil pressure. It only seems the only logical reason it went out.
