solenoid?

anyone know where do get a solenoid that can do this?

i'd like to have a low boost setting for everyday to save some gas. my wastegate is 4psi, so that should be good. with the boostvalve, which im going to buy anyway....the 2 stage setup is 89 bucks. thats not a bad price at all...so i might just go with that. but if you can find a solenoid ( i looked on mcmaster and didnt find much) for cheap, i'd just make my own.

oh yea i was thinking about that a little while ago and forgot how it worked but thats an awesome idea. Im pretty sure my n75 is just on/off so you could use it as your solenoid

I think im also going to convert my boost controller to ball and spring. It would be pretty simple, just drill it out a little and cut the "needle" off the knob and throw a ball and a spring in there.

make sure you get a good spring from mcmaster or somewhere that can handle heat

true. what i really want to do is do some tests to see if ball and spring is really better. i figure i could hook an arm up to the wastegate and hook the other side up to a tps sensor then hook that up to the lm-1 and set it up to show percentage moved and log that with boost to see if it really opens before full boost. It would be pretty cool to try but i want to work on tuning first.

so are you still planning on trying the 2-stage boost controller? it'd be a good idea now to save some gas
