i've heard bad things about having such a long exasut mani. i always hear the shorter the distance between the block and the turbine the better. but what do i know. it is a nice mani.

I think people think that because the exhaust gas loses heat as it goes through the turbo and some energy is gained in the turbo from the heat loss so they think that the more heat that goes into the turbo the more energy will be put into the turbo. However, I think that a longer manifold with smoother equally phased pulses out weighs the benefit of having it closer for more heat. Thats my idea anyway but it may not be fact.

if you got it jet hot coated or something similar it should regain some of that. some people on the 1.8t forum have noticed ~300 rpm sooner spool with the coating. thats on like a t3/t4
