so i guess i'll make a thread for the GS. here's a couple from the day i got it:
I don't know how much I plan on putting into it but so I've done:
-pegs
-ghetto exhaust
-painted fenders
had good progress with the bike at first, but now i've got projects all over the house i'm tryin to finish so the bike is a slow process now......whatever
Jon, as for the headlight bracket issue, this is the closest i could find to what type of bracket i had in mind for the headlight:
or something like this:
here's a pic of my headlight and bracket (just happen to have this pic from another issue)
cut and welded stock mounting bracket for headlight/turn signals and it came it pretty good, this is pretty much right after i got them on before getting them positioned right and took off the other mirror:
now i just need to finish painting the rear fairings.....

Mike, not sure if you're interested, but I've got a dual disc Katana front end that is a pretty easy swap over onto the GS500. Complete from top to bottom, with wheel and a brand new tire. Not sure if it's something you'd be interested in, I had gotten it for a different project and didn't end up using it, I'd certainly be willing to sell it to you pretty cheap if you're up for it.
It's a 17" wheel. With a Continental Conti-Attack tire. Looked at the front end today, will need some fork seals, but other than that, should be good to go..
So i haven't done too much to the bike latley... at all actually. but there are things i still want to do with it so i think i'm gonna start workin on that. i need to generate some extra income to accomplish this though and still have some to put away for Japan, i think the financial aspect is the hardest part lol
ugh, i just remembered i need to do something with my rear plastics... i started spraying them black but i kinda wish i hadn't now.
Steve: if had the money i would take you up on that Kat front end but i can't man, thanks for lookin out though i appreciate it.
