..the engine has shat itself. Not really sure what happened, but am basically burning ludicrous amounts of oil. It still runs amazing, in fact, better than it did before, but as I mentioned. It's not happy with the oil that is in it and decides it would do better coming out the exhaust. Lame. Time for a rebuild..
Yes sir, in fact, I did it. New rings, gaskets, the whole kaboodle. As I mentioned, it runs like a bat out of hell. With the new exhaust, it really feels a lot faster than before, it just...deposits oil all over. I mean, there is literally oil on the end of the exhaust can. It's insane. When I get home today from work, I'll take a photo and put it up here. I don't think the rings are toast, only because it runs so well. I'm pointing fingers at maybe my worn valve guides(there are no seals on these engines). Either way, the damn lump has to come out...dammit.
wait....Did you check to make sure its not a 2-stroke?
OH NOES!!!!!!!!! Wish it was at this point. I really don't care though honestly. It's old, I cut some corners with the engine, there were things I needed to do that I didn't only because of time/cost constraints. So I'll just deal. Ride it till it goes, if it's going to happen, it's gonna happen out there(Captain Ron).
