I just picked one up for my girlfriend as a DD so my 240 could be my pos that breaks down and makes me mad. Well it turns out its the other way around. I had a friend look at it and he says the starter is done. If anyone has one or knows someone with one laying around could you please help me out. I need to get this car on the road so my girlfriend can learn how to drive stick.
Oh yeah its a 2.slow that needs some care all around but isn't to bad.
The only thing I can tell you is go to triangle or car quest/central auto parts. Best prices for VW parts. Or there is a shop called Full Throttle out side of winter park and he usually has some used parts for cheap.

Well I got a new starter today and installed it. The car still did nothing. I'm hoping that it's because the battery is dead. It was getting dark so I didn't have time to swap out my 240 battery and see if that's the problem. Lou I'll probably be giving you a call tomorrow afternoon to see if your free. If not sat.
Lou thanks for the help. The dizzy is starting to go, atleast that's what the guy at advanced said. I had to heel/toe it home so the car wouldn't shut off.
