I always liked reading road trip threads so I'm gonna start my own today.
8:30 am - Krystal's in Ocala
I'm headed for South Carolina and meeting Jamin up there for spring break. I'm driving the bimmer up there right now. This will be my first long solo road trip. It makes the alphabet game alot less fun. Its not bad though. I've spent the past 2 days physically exhausting my self by laying wood floor, riding 35 miles and surfing so today all I want to do is sit and drive. My only goal today is to make it to South Carolina. I dont really care how long it takes.
left kind of early this morning
sunrise off 75
this dog looked really cold
Well time to get back on the road and leave these friendly people at Krystal(surprisingly really friendly). Depending on how much internet I find in my travels I'll post some more. Next dookie I take will be in another state. Later
The gas is pretty awesome. I got 430 miles on the first tank. Which got me really far into georgia to a little gas station on a long deserted road where I had to pay way too much for gas.
I took 75 to Macon and then took some country roads up to I-20 and now I'm heading up that one road we all know US-129 (the dragon road) its not the good part though.
Its almost 4:00 and I've gone through some cool little towns.
Micanopy. I've seen the sign a bunch of times from the interstate so i finally checked it out
giant praire after micanopy
georgia on my mind
75 has been under construction in ga for like 10 years
little town in ga
that building is actually a motorcycle museum. looked cool but only open on weekends
the opry house
monticello. i think a part from dukes of hazards was filmed in the square
It was fun. We got to drive some really fun roads. Didnt make it out to the dragon but there were definately some fun ones. We saw BMW filming for the new X6 out there. Also on the way back we stopped in Atl georgia and saw all the tornado damage in downtown.
I'll post some pictures when I quit being so busy.
