Anybody have any motorcycle hauling experience?

Listen up ladies and gents. I need some opinions, even if you've never hauled a two wheel fun machine before. Ok, let me get this out here, I am in love with vintage bikes. They can be a pain in the ass, but I love them just the same. But they break down, sometimes often. Be that as it may, I need to get a car/truck/van/Delorean, that can tow/carry/haul/go back in time, pretty soon.

The BMW flat out sucks ass for towing. I tried to think of ways to do it, I really did. But I just can't mount a hitch on that thing, I wouldn't feel safe doing it. They want you to mount it into the sheetmetal in the spare tire well. That's right, tow a trailer, attached to sheetmetal...no.

So I've been throwing things around, trying to figure out what is what. Thoughts!

Car: Volvo(brick ftw!). I like this option, cheap, reliable, easy to fix. And they can tow a two axle trailer, I think that I might be able to tow a bike with it. And a bunch of room to put things under lock and key(wagon is crucial here). Slow as dirt(can be fixed). Still unique while still being useful(I like this part). Old! Have to get a trailer, and find a place to put it.

Truck: Obvious reasons, throw that thing in the back and roll out. Downsides, locked, and covered cargo space. Hard to find what I want(extended cab, standard or long bed). It's a truck(that is a downside in itself). Plus side is I could and would get a Dodge(I work at  dealer), so I wouldn't have to work on(good and bad I suppose). Walking the fine line between ghetto and cool would be hard. I would want to lower it, probably go along the lines of an old rat-rod. Satin paint, powdercoated steelies, maybe air ride, I think you guys see where I'm going with this.

Van: One word, with a hyphen. A-Team. Massive room under lock and key. Two bikes, gear, EVERYTHING else, all locked up in a super sweet pedo-bear package(Free candy). And they can tow. Having everything locked up would be a good feeling stopping at a hotel in the middle of some unknown town on a road trip and not having to unload the bike into the hotel room. But, a m-effer to work on, ever seen the hood on a Ram Van? Yea it's like 1.5 feet long. Spark plugs are accessed from inside the cabin, and it's still not fun. And it's a god dam van, I mean, besides being able to sleep it in, and pick up like 30 High School freshman, it's the epitome of anti-cool.

Delorean: Limited towing capacity, can and would be crushed like a pop can by a large black convertible Ford coupe driven by someone named Biff. Runs on garbage care of Mr. Reactor. Can travel back in time(semi-reliably). Can fly(Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads).

Thoughts? Opinions? I'm personally a little more biased towards the Volvo. Main reason is the price. If I was going to buy domestic(van/truck) I would go much, much newer, and end up financing some of it. I wouldn't mind, but I'm not totally sure I want payments. I don't want to go too old with the domestic, because, well they suck, and stuff would be breaking much too often. And Volvo parts are like 5 dollars for everything. I like that part. And it still maintains a little(marginally) bit of 'cool'. Not because they are pussy wagons, but because they can still handle pretty well, there is a large following, and well, a modified old person car is ALWAYS cool.

I say keep the BMW as well. Sheet metal is stronger than it seems. Alot of roll cages bolt in to sheet metal.

But if you do get something else, then nothing will be accepted if its not a Delorean.
