Just picked up my 5SFE

I found a link to this forum on MR2oc and I'll be reading through some of your posts to see what kind of hurdles I have to overcome with this project. Hope you don't mind a California guy roaming around your message board.

How's your project coming along?

Awesome dude! Good to see someone else doing the same swap. If you dont mind keep us updated. I'd like to see how it goes.

Our project: We have the motor in the car with all the mounts welded in. The engine is all wired and fuel system is done but needs to be cleaned up a little and the car is completely gutted.

Cool, finding the time to work on something like this is always the hardest part. Hope you get yours up and running soon.

The swap looks pretty straight forward and similar to how the 3SGTE goes in the car. There's a vendor that sells pre-made motor mounts and a kit to help align them in the engine bay: http://www.speed-source.net/ . I received my motor from another guy doing a turbo swap in his 2nd gen MR2, so hopefully I can keep stealing parts I need from him. =P

- Motor Mounts
- Tranny Cables
- SW20 Fuel Pump
- Radiator Hoses
- Wiring
- ECU

Long way 'til mine is running...
