I'm the mosr depressed person on earth. I'm mad and sad. A dear friend of died. My super 60 RIP. I don't know what happened. It could have been no filter or the rubbing that the compressor had on the housing. Who knows? Its probably a combination of bs. But man I feel like crap now. Oh plus I rip the tip of my finger almost completely off. I seriously don't know what I'm going to do. Give up? maybe? rebuild the turbo? maybe? get a new turbo? maybe? motor swap? maybe? sell my car? i dunno.... But keep watching until the next episode and you'll find out. First I gotta get a job. I'm in a serious need of one so if you guys can hook me up with something please let me know!
I SAY. give jon the messed up super 60. and his t3 back. that way he can get the super 60 rebuilt when its time for his car since you owe him. then get the uberdata up. and use the money from the safc and the weekend at my aunts to get a new chep turbo. and THIS time, tighten your **** down, and put a filter on it.
lol why give him both turbos? if you think he should take parts from the volvo one its impossible. All the bolts are siezed up plus the 60 needs a larger compressor wheel then the volvo one. I'll probably give the 60 to jon though. LoL I dont know about you but who checks there compressor/exhaust housing bolts? You would think they were just stay, but not in my case. Oh well. Oh and I don't think my turbo is a true super 60. I think its actually a 60 trim becuase all the 60 trims I have seen look like the turbo I have. The wheels could be different, but who knows. i was planning to get the adapter thing for the filter with the afc money but the turbo blew. Oh well...
Anyways what turbo do you guys think I should get?

i agree
that super 60 sounds like a good idea. that would change my car quite a bit even at the stock boost.
i think you should do some really in depth research and pick the perfect turbo. i guess that would mainly be looking at the exhaust side since we dont know much about the effects of that. you should get that turbo book and learn everything about turbos. maybe we should do a club buy on the turbo book so we can all become knowledge masters of turbos.
I was thinking about getting new a super 60 with a .48 turbine housing(exhaust side). smaller helps spool correct? I may get a it step bigger to a .63 housing, but it'll cost $100+ more its $380 shipped for the super 60 w/ .48 turgine housing. Or I can just get a 60 trim w/ .48 turbine housing for $325 shipped. Hmmm these two turbos are very similar, is it worth the extra cash to get the super 60?
i would say definately go with the .48 a/r exhaust houing. i doubt it would take much flow away if any. you only have 1.5l. you shoul definately look at the maps before making a choice though
