I'm fairly certain this is the most awesome send off for a car I've ever seen. Totally off topic, but how come I can't have a job that allows me to just drop everything and go Dragon hunting? :(
Well it started out when Lou called me and asked if I wanted to go to NY the next day. People usually dont call me and ask if I want to drive a few thousand miles tomorrow but I had the rest of the week off from school cause my teachers are in Hawaii for an educational conference, my car just got declared totalled but wouldnt be taken for a while and I wanted to hit 200,000 miles before I got rid of the car. So I agreed to go. When I got to Orlando to pick Lou up he told me that he didnt need to go after all. But my car was already loaded up for a road trip and we both had the next few days off so we we're like lets still take a road trip anyways.....so where else would you go? We hopped in the car and left for the Tail of the Dragon.
We stopped at Jamin's place where we ripped off the bumper, added some spray paint and put play pen balls all over the car. We drove all night till we both got tired and spent the night here -->
We didnt actually stay at the hotel. Lou slept in the car and I setup a little tent in the grass behind the car. Needless to say we got kicked out in the morning
Sick Renault we saw on the way
made a stop for some gas. almost to the dragon
wow......mountains
and a dam
one ball actually made it all the way there
Highway 129.....The Tail of the Dragon
Keeping up with that Cobra was really fun.
This dude was fast!
You sure you werent there Lucas?
At the end. people were fascinated with the car
Tree of Shame. left the bumper there
dam picture
awesome one lane bridge on the way back
Lou peeing into the Tallulah Gorge
got Lost in downtown Atlanta on the way back
Hopefully killboy has some more pictures of the car driving. We did spraypaint his website on the car so he should.
That trip was fun!!! I'm ready to go back already. We also found 2 other really good roads we can drive when we go back. It was definately a fitting trip for my last drive in the Audi.
You left the bumper at the tree of shame. I love this. This is, as I mentioned before, the best send off for any car I've ever seen. You know, next time I go up there, I'm getting a picture taken with that bumper. And it's funny, a lot of your pictures look like mine from my NC trip. I love it way too much up there. I'm glad you guys had a kickin time.
well good luck taking a pic with the bumper cause someone took it....That trip was awesome there and back 32 hours. The audi ran good besides the turbo coming apart. Also the guy on the black r6 would be lucas on a bike.
