man, i'm gonna live not far from there. I'm goin to Myrtle Beach in a couple of weeks, don't think I can convince Andrea to make a trip there while we're up there though. but i definatly wanna go......once my car is a little more fun to drive.

oh my car usually breaks on long trips and especially if we head towards Orlando for some reason. So if we can avoid Orlando and some how make a short trip then i think my car is safe to drive. lol

I want to ride with somebody. I doubt I will have a car for the ride. But as I don't know all of you really well, I'd like to maybe ride with someone, be like a stuck in the car bonding experience thing. I eat very little, and I can start small fires...take me with you?

I should find out what they're doing tomorrow or Friday. The insurance company sucks. But whatever I have by that time will be going to the dragon.

Thats the weekend after labor day(I think its labor day) so it might not be as crowded cause everyone went the weekend before.

that date sounds good to me, I would love to try that road out. How long would we be driving on the dragon, and does it cost anything? would we be getting a hotel, or camping, or car sleeping, just curious. I'm all for it though

hey steve, if you need someone to ride with, I am gonna be alone as of now. I doubt my roommate will come, so if you want a ride, I have a seat. just letting you know.

to drive the road, it cost nothing. I will be sharing a room with somebody, and once we arrive, we should be driving all day. A couple trips up and down the dragon, and some other roads around the area. I'll be taking my miata, so I'll have an empty seat!

If you guys dont mind camping, there is a campsite very close to the dragon. Camping is really cheap. I'm in for a hotel too if you guys want to do that. I dont know where the closest one is though. Gatlinburg?

Right now it looks like I'll be riding with someone but hopefully I can drive because driving the dragon is very fun but riding the dragon is terrifying.

Almost forgot about this post.

Few things, I might take one of you guys up on the empty seat, but if this MK1 materializes, then it will be it's break in trip, so I may not need it, which is good, because as Jon mentioned, I can only imagine riding in the passenger seat would be terrifying. I've never done so.

Also, hotel, how far is far? I really, really suggest Robbinsville, I've stayed there every time I've gone. It's like 15-20 miles or so, and it has all the amenities of a larger town. It's up to you guys, but if I go, that's where I'll be. UNLESS, we stay at the resort, that would be bitchin, in which case I'd stay there. Microtel in RVille is 50 a night, and I think not much more for a double, resort is about the same, but no amenities there. But it's like, at the start of the road, which in itself is bad ass, and it's dead quiet at night, which is nice.

But I'm down for the date, I'll have to mark it on the calender here at work.

I vote for camping, cheap is the key for me, and I like nature. I don't really like big cities so I am kinda biased though. but I'm willing to do whatever.

Ha ha, Robbinsville is like 738 people. It's EFFIN HUGE. No but seriously. I like nature too, but I love taking a shower. And I hear there is some kickin BBQ in RVille, I wanted to go last time, but ran out of time.

Ps. If you've ever stayed at the Microtel, you can attest to this, it's the next place in line after the resort for Motorcyclists, it's effing sweet. Wake up in the morning to like 40 bikes parked out front. Shoot the ****e with the locals, and meet people from all over, it's a good time. Last time I was up there I met a guy with a sick Ducati that live right off of Conway, weird hm?
