my next few mods

If I ever get a job and get my new clutch and uberdata. I have been thinking about what I should get.

I've been thinking about getting pistons and rods. Which would run me about $450 + block notching & shipping. That would get me some eagle rods and and some suzuki pistons. If you guys are wondering about the suzuki pistons I'll try to find the forum posts I have read. there like $150 and lower my compression to around 8.5:1 which I rather keep my 9:1, but I would be able to run more boost. Hers a post of a dude running 12's http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=972590 and some info on them http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=954478

My other choice was to get a set coilovers probably omni coilovers http://www.robearracing.com/pd_omni_power.cfm or tanabes http://www.robearracing.com/pd_tanabe_pro_s0c_type2.cfm. These will cost about $700.

Or I could go the koni yellow and eibach or ground conrtol route.
Which would run around $750 - $850ish

Last but not least get an intake, exhaust, and front mount intercooler which would run less then $400. The exhaust is not going to be a full exhaust It'll probably be a DP with a muffler at the end. LOL

I probably not going to this for a while, but its nice to plan it out first.

i always tell everyone suspension, BUT you never really finished the whole turbo thing, so i say intake exhaust and IC just to get that kinda complete. and so your car doesnt sound like ****

lol sound isnt performance, but I guess i'd be cool to have a muffled downpipe, an intake and a bigger intercooler or I can just get a ricey interfooler intake thing and make people think i'm ricer.

Finishing up under the hood would be the best Idea. Real piping, Dp, Exhaust, Intake, Intercooler. Even though that stock VeeDub intercooler should be fine with you under 10 psi, The GTI is at like 11 psi with that intercooler. When it comes time for coilovers those Tanabe ones are awesome. And I still have a clutch sitting in my room!

go with the coilovers for sure. then you will have a really nice and complete base to work on and tune. but you really need an intake and all you need for that is a flange, youve already got a filter and mandrel bends. you could upgrade that intercooler too by welding a case around it and pumping water through it. youve got all the parts for that too and travis said hed weld it (faster this time). and then your side mount wouldnt be all goofy.

seriously just get an intake on your turbo so it doesnt crap out and put a muffler on that loud ass piece. then do whatever else you want like coilovers. at least then you wouldnt suck a small bird into your turbo and it wouldnt be a loud, annoying piece, and you'd have less of a chance of dying of carbon monoxide poisoning.
