I really wanted to go yesterday but school keeps telling me no. Tuesday I'm coming regardless and hopefully getting alot done. You guys gonna come by on Tuesday?

I figure if its running on tues then its taking a vacation to Gainesville next weekend. It will be slow on trispokes with old tires and stock suspension but it'll still be really fun to drive since we've been building it for like a year.

Well it still doesnt run. Theres still no spark even though everything is apparently hooked up right and working correctly. Hopefully next time I can test some different parts.

Why not just run the EDIS tower with the EDIS ignition module? I have an extra tower, and the modules are basically free at the JY. It worked on the 20v I had at like 8k rpm. Let me know, it may be something I can actually help with on this car. I went through a lot to get my AE86's MSnS up to snuff...

woah dude, you've been holding out on us. I was actually thinking of buying the coils from the junkyard but thats kinda out of the budget. So if you have the coil pack we'll throw that in and give it a try with the wheel decoder setup. That really should work but if not I have an extra EDIS module.

So thats good news. Next time it will be running for sure.

oh yeah, I already mounted an edis trigger wheel to use for a signal.

Well I actually didn't know it existed until we started cleaning the garage. But why not just use the EDIS module along with the tower? It's a relatively proven concept as I'm sure you know. It's the most common headache with something like this, having so many unknowns. I went through it, but after re-doing it ALL, only then did I know what I was working with. And that's when it was fun.

The only reason is so we can use the spark related features. With EDIS you can only go down to 10 degrees and never cut spark. So you cant do soft rev limiter, hard spark cut limiter, launch control/flat shift or traction control. The soft limiter will be very usefull since I doubt our tach works and launch control is just fun.
