I was junk yard shopping for the miata, and ran across 2 or 3 mr2's of your generation.  At LKQ's right by greenway ford.  Just a head's up, if you guys are looking for any parts.

Its a 4A sitting in the Frunk of a AW11.  Kyle and I have seen it there a couple of times now.
