yea the first one is the kumhos. I dropped the tires and wheels off yesterday with Travis and I also gave him my stock wheels to dismount. And I did all that in one trip with my car. I'll post a pic. I think Feb. 11 will be my first event with these tires. Its at Gainseville but its not the test n tune thing. Its a CFR-w auto-x at the site
So i went to that auto-x last weekend and these tires have some grip. Lots of grip and then a little extra grip. I dont know if it was the extra grip i wasnt used to or what but i drove badly. I got second out of a 350hp wrx, an evo and my car. the evo was on street tires so that wasnt really fair but i think i can keep up in the class if i get some more driving experience
dude thats awesome. tho it sucks, these tires do better on really hot, like hotter than an auto-x, like track hot. they are the recommended tire for a number of classes such as spec miata and world challange to name a few. whats crazy is that there are even better tires for auto-x out there. once my car is....well my car...... and i wear out my azenis, i'm getting me some. got my sights set on getting the bug ready for track duty so i can get some seat time and experince. but i'm definitley not stopping auto-x.

Yea they do like to be hot. I think the optimum temp is like 170-200 degrees. Next time I might purposefully slide alot on my first run to heat them up. The good thing though is that they last somewhere around 200 autocross runs whereas hoosiers are only good for like 30 or something.
The wrx had its fastest time 2 seconds faster than me. 2 seconds is alot but i think i can manage that
well, i was looking at the results. you have way more consistancy than him. you really need to take them to gainseville and learn how they will be working with you car. also, bring some black trashbags with you to cover the tires between runs to absorb the sunlight heat and keep the heat from the tires and brakes in. and if you have a place around the auto-cross to do some circles in different directions to heat them up. but those little tricks do make as big a difference than experince with the tires.
